When building a soakaway using our hydrocrates, a geotextile membrane should be installed around the sides and over the top of the crate stack.  When backfilling the hole containing the crates, this membrane will prevent the soil from entering the crate void thus reducing the efficiency of the soakaway, but will allow rain/groundwater to pass through the void.

We supply Lotrak 100 commercial grade non-woven geotextile membrane.  It has proven separator performance with superior strength and resistance, providing excellent filtration capabilities and good puncture resistance.

Use to prevent surrounding soil entering the soakaway void.
